Description |
This is “God is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything” by Christopher E. Hitchens, 2007, with 320 pages. It is a rare signed-and-dated first-edition ninth-printing hardbound copy. The signature has the word FORGERY stamped on top of it. It was very likely signed by an imposter to look like it was signed in Raleigh, North Carolina at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh (UUFR) because the date inscribed by the Mr. Hitchens imposter (15.V.2007) coincides with the date of the debate at UUFR between Mr. Hitchens and Adam English (May 15, 2007). This date has extra significance for being the day Jerry Falwell died. That night, Hitchens appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° to discuss Falwell’s legacy. The next day, Slate published “Faith-Based Fraud,” Hitchens’s scathing obituary for Falwell. And later that night, Hitchens appeared on Hannity & Colmes to participate in one of the few truly enjoyable episodes of the program. Highlights include a flustered and flailing Sean Hannity, multiple mentions of a toddler in Times Square, and Hitchens ending the conversation with “If you gave Falwell an enema he could be buried in a matchbox.” This book is in acceptable condition. It looks like it has been read. It was purchased at The Reader’s Corner in Raleigh, North Carolina. North Carolina residents add 5.75% sales tax. Cashier's check or money order preferred for quicker shipment. A personal check is OK but item will be held for check to clear. Additional search words: the, need, for, a, new, enlightenment. *Penny not included.

If you're the seller or the high bidder - now what?
Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met. The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the seller.
If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days, the seller may contact the next highest bidder. Therefore, if the high bidder does not contact the seller within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from TimesWhat.
