Bartlett's was the best and most popular American book on quotations for more than a century. This 14th edition has 1102 pages of quotations plus 44 pages of authors index and 593 pages of quotations index. The text is complete and in good condition. All pages are present. This is the exact book that inspired critter's "Inferior Quotations." The hardbound cover is in good shape for age and there is gold foil on the spine and the front cover. Some of the bookmarks have writing on them. The binding is intact and this is a nice copy of one of the older editions. North Carolina residents add 7.25% sales tax.
